Christmas 2010 was a great one! I didn't have to work Christmas eve or Christmas, so it was even better! It was nice to be able to relax and spend time with family without worrying about having to go to work!
On Christmas eve, we started out the festivities with a delicious dinner at the Taylor's. Grandma and Grandpa were able to join us! We were so excited!
After dinner, we did the traditional Taylor family talent show. Mary and Jesse played the piano and Grandpa recited some funny poems. Then it was pajama and gift time! The jammies we get are always awesome! It's also a tradition to open the sibling gifts to each other the night before Christmas.
Lenn got these beauties from us.....
Mary decided to try them out too...
And Cortney...
Grandma and Grandpa also opened their gifts, too. Grandpa got a sweet model plane to put in his office.
It's a certain type of plane which was flown in the war - he told us about it for about a half hour. It was sweet! It was so nice to have them with us on Christmas eve! After that, we listened to the Christmas story from the bible and headed to bed.
Christmas morning we slept in 'til 7! Yes, until 7 people! We opened gifts - I got a sweet bike trainer, the seasons of the Cosby show (holy cow - it's an awesome one!),
and some other sweet stuff. We also got some sweet book shelves (thanks, Lenn and Mary). They look awesome.
For breakfast, we had the traditional wannabe egg mcmuffins/biscuits. Mmmmmm..... then we just relaxed the day away until it was time to go to Grandma's for dinner. Amber joined up with us at Grandma and Grandpa's. Then we headed home and watched Amber's new Michael Jackson music video DVD.
It was definitely a great Christmas! It was nice to relax and spend time with the hubs and fam, and to celebrate what Christmas is all about.
Love the handerpants! How awesome that you didn't have to work Christmas Eve or Christmas. That is always a great gift. Hope you had a great time over the holidays and hope that this new year will be a great one for you guys!!
