We had an amazing opportunity to spend some time with family in California! It was a nice long weekend getaway and very relaxing!
The first day, we headed to Hollywood! It was a pretty cool place, but a person only needs to go there once in their life to experience it all. We were lucky enough to go there the weekend of the Oscars. There were a lot of people there!
We walked the walk of fame and saw all the "stars".....
We even saw the infamous "Santa Monica Blvd", ha ha!
We found Mickey there, too!
Cortney found his favorite Disney star...
Afterward, we drove past the Los Angeles LDS temple. It was such a beautiful holy building in the midst of a worldly city! It was very nice to spend some time outside in the warmth, as well. We headed back home just in time to beat the afternoon traffic.
On Friday we headed to Glendale to check out the Forest Lawn Cemetery. It was such a cool place!! Check it out online. There are many famous people buried there. They have a few cathedrals with incredible artwork and many awesome statues. It was such an inspirational place to visit! One of the cathedrals housed an amazing stain glass depiction of the Last Supper. It was so incredible! Another cathedral housed two art pieces, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. They had a very special presentation to present these art pieces. They were also of phenomenal size! It was such a cool place to visit, and I would recommend it to anyone! Just incredible!
The man who decided to create these cemeteries had a very positive mission which he wanted to convey. Just a beautiful statement with great positivity! The feeling at the cemetery was an amazing feeling!
And since we are a fan of America, I decided to add this gem in. This art piece is a lot of little tiles. Yes, tiles!
On Saturday, we all headed to Disneyland and California Adventure! It was a family party! We had so much fun and ate all the delicious Disneyland foods! It was a great day, very warm, and just fun to be together! I love my family!
The whole family in front of the coolest Cars ride ever!
The T boys!
Overall, it was very relaxing and fun! I'm very glad that we were able to go visit Kandis and Cameron and to have a good little vacation!
