Happy Halloweee!!!

A couple weeks ago we thought we'd get in the Halloween spirit and decorate the house a bit. We bought some Halloween decorations from the store and went to work! After we were all done, I sat back admiring our work and noticed something special about this $2 banner we bought...

I couldn't stop laughing and still can't every time I see it! Yes, it indeed says Happy Halloweee. Banner fail! Hope ya'll enjoyed that! And we do hope you have a Happy Halloweee!!!

Uncle Quartny Stinks!

Last week, we went over to my parents' for dinner and much to our pleasant surprise, my sister-in-law Holly was there with her kids! They are so much fun to play with and to have around! There is definitely never a dull moment when they are around - that's why we love 'em! We played a lot in the backyard and had a lot of fun! When we headed closer to the house to start playing some basketball, I found this phrase written in chalk on the sidewalk.....

Does that kill you, or what? I laughed soooo hard! To think this little innocent 9-year-old could've written that....

I was in fact, really impressed with his creative spelling skills since he didn't know how to spell Cortney's name. To clear things up, Holly added on the following.....

Thanks for clearing that up, Holly! And to clarify, I don't think Uncle Quartny stinks. In fact, he smells quite nice!
Here are some other photos of the cute peeps from that day......

Fall Musings...

Last thursday, my in-laws had a dinner for our Grandma and Grandpa Clifford before they moved to Arizona for the winter. It was a delicious dinner! We had vegetarian lasagna (my favorite) and delicious apple pie (well, we had salad too, but that's healthy:) ). The best part of the evening was being able to spend time with the T fam and with Grandma and Grandpa. We're going to miss them during the winter!

This is the beautiful table decorated by Mary, my mother-in-law....

Grandma and Grandpa Clifford are some pretty amazing people! They've got an awesome young spirit about them and we always laugh hard and have a lot of fun when we're together. We've learned a lot from them. I just wanted to post a video of Grandpa playing the piano. He doesn't know how to read music but plays the piano beautifully!

On our way over to the T fam, we stopped by Fernwood (in Layton) to check out the fall colors and to reminisce. Fernwood is where Cortney first told me he loved me and also where we got engaged. It's very beautiful up there and it was good to visit again! Here are some beautiful pictures we captured. I love the fall!

Ha ha!

Fall Fun Time!

What a crazy month! September has been a really busy month for us with school getting started and working. We've still been able to have fun amidst the busy times! A couple weekends ago, our nieces and nephews came over to chill. We watched Cinderella, ate mac 'n' cheese for lunch, and had a good time! They sure do love Cortney! And it shows!

We had a lot of fun just being goofy and taking pictures!

This is our nephew, S. Isn't he a babe?

The girls seem to think so too!

The best part of fall is the beautiful fall colors! I had a couple of chances before the snow fell to take some mountain bike rides to capture the beauty! These next few pictures are from Wheeler Canyon at the top of Ogden Canyon. Soooo beautiful! And of course, the pictures don't really do the beautiful colors justice............

Refreshing, isn't it?

Another fun part of fall is being able to watch football! We like watching it on TV, but since we don't have any channels, we watch the real thing - played by 9-year-olds! My nephew L plays on a team in M town. He rocks! There was one game I went to last year where he scored 3 touchdowns! He's a lot of fun to watch because he actually knows what he's doing and he's so competitive! It's fun to see him tackle as well. He's #33.

Here are some of his biggest fans, C and Y(whose brother is also on the team). They come to every game! And they play barbies - every game! Aren't they cute?

GO TROJANS!!!

We've also been able to spend a little time with our Grandpa and Grandma Clifford this month. They are so great! We love spending time with them. One of our the favorite things to do when we go to Grandma and Grandpa's is to play pool. Grandma Clifford is really good at pool and has taught her grandkids a thing or two about the game, too! Here is Jesse getting ready for a shot...

And Cortney-ready to break.....

We always have a ton of fun at Grandma and Grandpa Clifford's house. From playing Rummy 2000, shootin' pool, or just sitting around talking, we always have a good time. Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa! We love you!
