New Years' Eve

This past New Years' Eve was a ton of fun! We first got together at my parents' house with Jeff, Christine, and their kids and Dan and Debbie (Kim and Charley came later that night). We had an international dinner! It was awesome! There was mostly Asian food there (because Dan served in Korea and Jeff and Christine lived in Japan), but mom mixed in a little American food and I added some Bolivian empanadas. There was a ton of food and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves :) It was my first experience making Bolivian empanadas, and the recipe I got off the internet wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but they still tasted good! (But hey, anything that is fried and has to do with cheese is always good! ) We had a lot of fun spending time with the fam!

Later that night, we headed to the T household. And boy was it a party! We came in to the middle of them playing Apples to Apples. It was quite the interesting and very funny game! We played it for a pretty long time, too! After we got done with a couple rounds, we had some tasty dessert! (On top off all the good snack foods one usually enjoys on New Years).

Then came the time for the real party to begin! We had noise makers and the whole bit to ring in the new year! We watched the ball drop and all smooched at the stroke of midnight! (Except for Jesse: he was the only single guy :) ) Yay for the partay!

After that, we took our party to the hot tub! Me, Cortney, Amber, Riley, Kandis, and Jesse all enjoyed a good hour in the hot tub before retiring to our beds.

I am so glad we were able to spend the holidays with our families! Yeah for good times!
